ALICE WEBB BIOGRAPHY 2011
Alice
Webb works in watercolors, acrylics, oils and etching and has exhibited in
numerous one person and group shows on the regional, national and international
level. She has won awards for her paintings in competitions throughout the
United States and her work was featured on the cover of the Baltimore Sun
section: HOMETOWN GUIDES for the local Maryland counties from 2002 through 2007.
She designed posters for Wine in the Woods and Columbia Festival of the Arts.
Alice also wrote a book about etching titled ETCHINGS FROM THE HEART, including
all of her etchings in the past 20 years. She illustrated a children’s book
titled THE GIRL WITH THE FISH IN HER POCKET, written by Frank Bruno, MD.
Alice
has earned signature membership in the Baltimore Watercolor Society, the
Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, the Louisiana Watercolor Society and Potomac
Valley Watercolorists and was president of the Baltimore Watercolor Society for
four years. She has been featured in articles in the American Artist Magazine
and also had an article about her teaching and painting methods published in the
Artist's Magazine and WATERCOLOR BASICS. She teaches watercolor in her home
studio in Ellicott City, Maryland. Alice earned a BA in Graphic Design from the
University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
